1.5mm Twin & Earth Surfix Surface Cable (also known as Flat Twin & Earth 
or Surface Wire) is a versatile PVC-sheathed electrical cable designed 
for surface mounting in residential, commercial and light industrial 
electrical installations across South Africa.

Constructed with a plain copper conductor, PVC insulated cores laid up 
with a bare tinned earth wire in contact with a longitudinal aluminium 
foil tape, and PVC sheathed overall — this cable meets South African 
wiring requirements and is SANS 1507 compliant.

Sold in standard 100m rolls, the 1.5mm 2+E Surfix cable is the most 
commonly used cable size for lighting circuits in South African homes 
and commercial buildings.
