Busbar Insulators

SM-Series Busbar Insulators are high-strength female-type insulators 
designed for use in distribution boards, switchgear panels, busbar 
systems and control gear enclosures across South Africa.

Available in 7 sizes (SM-25 to SM-76) with voltage withstand ratings 
from 6kV up to 25kV, these insulators are suitable for a wide range of 
low and medium-voltage busbar applications in residential, commercial 
and industrial installations.

Each insulator features:
- High tensile strength from 500lbs (SM-25) up to 1500lbs (SM-76)
- Voltage withstand rated from 6kV to 25kV
- No studs — female insulator design
- Available in Red, Blue, White and Black
- Screw sizes from 6mm to 10mm depending on model
- Suitable for DB boards, switchgear panels and busbar trunking systems

Colour coding guide (standard SA wiring practice):
- Red — Phase L1
- Blue — Neutral / Phase L2  
- Black — Phase L3 / Earth
- White — General use / alternative neutral
